Don't touch my...!
...coffee, wine, beer, chocolate cake. Learn how to incorporate your "vices" into a healthy lifestyle. Diets don't work because they require deprivation. Don't deprive yourself while you're losing weight in a healthy way and easily maintaining your ideal weight. At the same time, get your energy back and feel like a kid again so you get out and do all the things you thought were a thing of the past. Life is short. Go out and have FUN!!

Seminar: Introduction to the Geologic Wonders of an Intermountain Basin
   Date: July 17, 2010
   Time: 9:00am
   Location: Wilkerson Pass
   Cost: $50
This seminar, hosted by the Friends of Florissant Fossil Beds, is a day trip starting and ending at Wilkerson Pass. We will study a volcano, features of the mountains and basin, and glacial terrains. Each side of the large South Park basin has a different age, history and origin. Each side also has had a varying influence on the sediments that fill the basin. Hopefully, from taking this trip, the participants will experience some of the joy that geologists do when observing the rocks and landforms of new areas. Must register in advance. Course fee is $50, with additional fees to earn credit through Adams State College and/or BOCES recertification.

Introduction For Shamanic Journeying
   Date: Sunday July 18th
   Time: 10am-5pm
   Location: Sacred Hoop Ministry Yurt
   Cost: $45 or $25 Student/Military
The Shamanic Journey is what we call the trance like state that the Shaman uses to travel to non-ordinary reality to meet with his or her helping, compassionate spirits. Every culture has their way of achieving this. We use the sound of the drum, (a rapid percussion sound), which helps bridge the right and left hemispheres of the brain, to achieve an alpha or theta state that opens your inner vision. During a Journey, you will learn to open your inner vision with the beat and vibration of the Shamanic drum and explore the un-seen realms that surround us all. Experience the shifts that occur in these other dimensional realities, bring back information and knowledge to help you shift how you see the world and yourself. Meet your power animals, spirit guides and teachers that will give you answers to your questions and assist you on your earth walk. Join us and learn how to bring this ancient spiritual practice into your life, and watch it change how you experience the world. After this workshop you will be able to join the Intermediate Journey Groups. This is one of our most popular classes!!! All ages welcome.
