2018 Program of Work

 The following two areas of interest will serve as the primary focus of
work for the upcoming 2018 Chamber year, along with designated priorities.

  • Membership Engagement

GOAL • Increase membership and retention with an emphasis on communicating membership benefits through personal contacts of members by board, staff and ambassadors.

OBJECTIVES • See below

 • Engage members and non-members to participate in all Chamber events

• Remind members of Chamber services

• Identify needs of members and non-members

• Secure data via surveys; Testimonials; Social Media

• Continue training programs to include member/non-members

  • Business Advocacy and Economic Development Division

GOAL • Promote community and government relations that fosters business-to-business and business-to-government relationships with regional stakeholders.  In addition, create economic cooperation and expansion for the business community in the region.

OBJECTIVES • See below

 • Board will engage monthly in discussion on trends and information sharing

• Post public meetings, vacant positions in Woodland Park/Teller County on website

Speak with One Board Voice on behalf of the business community

• Monitor policies, issues and ordinances locally affecting the business climate

• Monitor and act accordingly in reference to state and federal legislation affecting the business climate

• Participate in regional coalitions, partnerships and other entities

• Empower local businesses through strategic training and workshops
