HABITAT for HUMANITY Letter from Santa Joe
I hope all had a great Christmas and a great Easter. Our plans for 2009 construction season are still in progress, but here's what I know today.
I will be the site supervisor again this year til Nov.15th. Dick Gillingham is now leading the construction committee. Bruno is looking at training plans. We have lots in Sherwood Forest and are working now to finish the site plans.
We are working with Lee Chapin, architect, to design a new floor plan using ICF blocks to the rafters.
Family Selection is working to qualify families.
We have a punch list for Cripple Creek, which will be to do stucco on all homes, build and place window screens, finish up paint in and out, on front and back porches. We need cement mixers if anyone has one to lend us.
The duplex, final landscaping and steps up from the street to the front porch level will complete the project.
Bill D is working on site plans.
John S. is President,
Lee C. is our new Architect.
Renee' & Stephen Fisher are voulenteer coordinators.
Jill S.is the Executive Director,
Dave Dorsey is the General Contractor.
I will have a schedule out soon and I want to thank you all for all of your help. Plan to come out and work some time with us this year.
The snow and final floor plans are now our focus. I will soon have a schedule and get it out to you all.
Thanks again for your support. We are looking forward to another great year that we can put families into homes of their own.
