ATTENTION ALL ACS RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM CAPTAINS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS! Beginning this Tuesday, April 22, and every 4th Tuesday of the month, the monthly team captains and committee members meetings will be at Faith Lutheran Church; 5:30 for Team Captains with the committee meeting following at 6pm. Free Robbery Training

If your staff is likely to be exposed to the risk of robbery you will want to ensure that they know and understand how to think and behave in a way that will ensure their safety and the safety of your customers. The Woodland Park Police Department wants to remind business owners or management that we offer robbery training classes free of charge. The training will provide your employees with the basic skills on how to react, what to look for and what to do after the robber has left and what the police will do when they respond

May is HISTORY & ARCHAEOLOGY MONTH in Colorado!
   Date: May 10, 2008

   Location: Ute Pass History Park, 122 Laurel St., W.P.
   Cost: FREE!
Colorado celebrates May as Archaeology and History Month, and local events include a Guided WALKING TOUR of historic buildings in Woodland Park! Walking tours will be approximately 45 minutes in length, and will begin at 1:00pm. Tours start and end at Ute Pass History Park. These WALKING TOURS will be led by members of the City of Woodland Park's Historic Preservation Committee. Call (719)686-7512 to schedule your tour time: last tour leaves at 3:00pm.

Also, FREE public tours of the museum cabins at Ute Pass History Park return on May 10! From 1:00-4:00pm, Docents will lead your exploration of Ute Pass history with tours of our period cabins and museum exhibits. All tours are FREE/donations gratefully accepted.

LOCATION: Both events start and end at Ute Pass History Park, 122 Laurel St., the corner of Henrietta Avenue and Laurel Street in Woodland Park. (North of the Woodland Park Library)

Make history in May, by enjoying either or both tours! Dress for the weather, and come for fun!
